Day after day, under the warm African sun, Tanga would
playfully run, sending birds, insects and small animals flying
and scurrying in every direction. © David Barlow

'Now I have to attract their attention...I know,'
then taking a deep breath, Tanga reared up onto his back legs
and bellowed out as loud as he could.

“Thank you Grandad,” smiled Tanga,
“mmm, these leaves are lovely.”
“That’s alright Tanga, just give me a call anytime you need a helping trunk.”
Alongside the rest of the elephant herd,
Tanga and Mwanza ate their fill of Acacia leaves.
“Phew, I’m quite full now,” sighed Tanga. © David Barlow
